The EISA Best Value Turntable award: Just in time for our 30th anniversary
Our top tier Debut model, Debut PRO has been awarded a prestigious EISA award for 2021/2022. We couldn’t think of a more fitting birthday present. We thank the EISA panel for again choosing a Pro-Ject player in the category “Best Value Turntable” despite the amount of competition in this price range.
Pro-Ject continues to develop audio equipment with outstanding value making high quality hi-fi stereo music reproduction affordable for a broad audience all over the world.
Pro-Ject Debut PRO: 30 Years of Experience
Pro-Ject, one of the world‘s leading hi-fi stereo companies, turns 30 years old in 2021 and can look back on a long list of successes.
We‘ve been offering high-quality hi-fi products at a reasonable price for discerning music lovers since 1991. We started with turntables because they are the first choice for the most natural and affordable music reproduction. Our main focus is always on the materials and technology used. The shape and design of our turntables are always dictated by the functionality.
To this day, our designs have always been kept functional and clean, so the first Pro-Ject product was very simple but made from the highest quality materials: MDF, steel, aluminium, glass, and carbon. Plastic was not used for reasons of sound, durability, and the love of the environment.
The result was a high-quality but simple-looking product with great sound at a low price.
After the Debut Carbon EVO revolutionized the Debut series in 2020, the Debut PRO raises the bar even higher. We designed not only a new turntable, but also a completely new cartridge. Now, for the 30th anniversary, we are again going back to our roots.
The Debut PRO brings an absolutely new design to Pro-Ject turntables. The audiophile turntable is convincing in all respects – not only visually, but more importantly also in terms of sound.
The Pro-Ject 1 and its successor, the Debut series, revolutionized listening to music. These products brought back the love of analogue playback devices – a turning point for the vinyl industry.

The history of Pro-Ject
Pro-Ject was founded in 1991, during the onslaught of the compact disc and CD players, with the mission to offer the best analogue experience for a reasonable price. In a time where the digital audio media had been on the rise, and vinyl was declared as outdated and dead, Heinz Lichtenegger kept his belief in the simple but best way to enjoy music – turntables.
We aim to get as many people as possible into the wonderful hobby that is HiFi audio and to deliver a real stereo experience for the lowest cost possible. The best way to start is with a proper turntable. We want to give the customers back the right to choose what they need, without overblowing our products with unnecessary features.
Here at Pro-Ject, we strive to create astonishing products with impeccable value. We only use the best components for the price and manufacture our handmade goods solely in Europe. With an eye for future trends, we are always trying to fit the needs of the market.
