As we enter another month of this pandemic we can all see how our lives have been so dramatically affected, as we work together to protect particularly the weak and vulnerable in our society.

But during these grey days, we hopefully can also see light. From our isolation, maybe we can spend more time with our family, or connecting with friends and loved-ones through technology. Maybe we can reignite some long-forgotten hobby, or catch-up with those tasks we had not been able to do before.

And while you’re at home, know there is always one friend around who can lift your mood – music.

Every day now, when I wake up I know I have to work online to stay in touch with my friends and colleagues around the world. But I also feel now, more than ever, excitement that my record collection is only in the next room. When the time is right I can dive back into it, searching for those records I love, or maybe playing something I haven’t yet had a chance to listen to.

And even more than that, I even have the time to listen to a whole album again !

For many people, music in the last few years has drifted more into the background. But our love of music comes from it being front and centre in our homes. This time we have to spend apart allows us to experience that which made us discover our first love in audio; Proper, conscious listening, with intent. And the best way to do that is with a proper hi-fi stereo system – at any price.

That’s why, during these trying times, our colleagues around the world remain available to discuss the possibilities and opportunities our Pro-Ject and Musical Fidelity products bring. Only through stereo, can you feel your music and transport yourself to the original recording studio or concert hall of your favourite albums. All you need is your hi-fi and some time to listen.

The most important thing we have to do right now is listen to our governments and community leaders, to make sure we do the best thing for each other and for our global community. But as self-isolation and social distancing will be the new normal for us, at least for a while, I hope you have the possibility to use the time to rediscover the joy and emotion of your favourite music.
